Greetings West End Methodist Oswaldtwistle.

We were contacted by West End Methodist Church who told us our churches had the same architect. When we compared photographs we were amazed. The Churches are almost like twins,except West End has a steeple. One of their last surviving original members remembered that a coach load of their trustees had been over to visit us whilst planning their new church.
Both our churches have been threatened on a number of occasions due to small numbers, but with God's help we've both bounced back and we're both keen to try new things all the time.
We soundproofed our sliding windows because they hadn't been opened for ten years.   Amazingly we've been told that their sliding windows were last opened 10 years ago for their 60th anniversary concert, and, they have also been talking about blocking them up to soundproof the room!

In 2011 Upton made even greater changes by taking out the pews, removing the sliding screen wall and replacing them with chairs and sliding doors.
