Some of us introduce ourselves.
Just some words that you might hear from us in the street if you said 'who are you and what makes you you'.
Words cannot convey personalities and an outlook on life, but we hope these below help you recognise something of real people.



Nigel was Barnsley born and bred, but spent some time in the Midlands after school. Escaping back to the North brought him to Upton with a young family over 10 years ago. Whilst an engineer (electronics) by profession, he has recently moved into teaching at a local FE college. His background is not Methodist, but he appreciates being able to get involved in the local Christian church. At other times he has an interest in things technical (do you find you have screws left over when putting things back together, or is it just me?) and an old Honda motorcycle.

Brian & Mary Brian & Mary met 50 yrs ago at a Christian Endeavour Holiday Home. Brian is a retired Teacher and Mary is a retired Assistant Health Visitor / SRN Brian is part of the Church maintenance team who try hard to keep the Church in good repair. They both have many hobbies and have lived in Upton for 17 years.
